Bach Festival Leipzig 2025

The Bach Festival Leipzig takes place from 12 to 22 June 2025.

The City of Leipzig honours one of its most important composers with the Bach Festival. Masterpieces from Bach’s hand mean inspiration, innovation, enthusiasm and joy. The important composer Johann Sebastian Bach worked full-time at courts for 15 years. First as organist and concertmaster in Weimar, later as Kapellmeister in Köthen. He also collected courtly honorary titles as Thomaskantor. Bach’s work at court resulted in a wide variety of compositions.
